Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026

This privacy policy explains how Healthy Bones and Joints Clinic (“the clinic”, “we”, “us”) of Vista, A0-104, above Caro Central, Gogol, Margao, Goa 403601 handles personal data in connection with this website, and when you contact us through it by phone or WhatsApp. We aim to follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian law.

In short

  • This website has no forms, no accounts and no online payments. It never asks you to type in personal details.
  • The website itself places no cookies on your device and uses no analytics or advertising trackers.
  • If you call or message us, we use what you tell us only to reply to you and to arrange and provide your care.
  • We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

What this website collects

Server logs. Like almost every website, the server that hosts this site automatically records technical details of each visit: your IP address, your browser and device type, the pages requested and the date and time. These logs are used only to keep the site working and secure, and the hosting provider keeps them for a limited period.

No cookies from this website. The website does not place cookies on visitors’ devices. (The WordPress login pages used by the people who maintain the site use cookies; visitors never see those pages.)

No analytics. We do not currently use Google Analytics or any similar visitor-tracking tool. If we add one, we will update this policy before it goes live.

No third-party fonts or scripts. The fonts and code that make up this website are served from this website itself.

Services from other companies

Some parts of the website connect you to services run by other companies. They handle your data under their own privacy policies, not ours.

  • Google Maps. The home page shows a map of the clinic from Google Maps, and the “Directions” links open Google Maps. When the map loads, or when you follow one of these links, Google may receive your IP address and may set its own cookies. See Google’s privacy policy.
  • WhatsApp. The WhatsApp buttons open a chat with the clinic in WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta. Messages you send us travel through WhatsApp. See WhatsApp’s privacy policy.
  • Phone. The phone number links open your phone’s dialler. Your phone company and ours keep their usual call records.

Information you share when you contact us

When you call us, message us on WhatsApp or visit the clinic, you may give us your name, phone number and age, a description of your symptoms or condition, and reports, X-rays or prescriptions.

Health information is sensitive. When you are only arranging a visit, please share just what we need for that, and bring detailed reports and scans to your consultation rather than sending them by message where you can.

How we use your information

  • To answer your questions and arrange your consultation.
  • To assess, treat and follow up your condition, and to keep your medical records.
  • To coordinate care that you agree to, such as physiotherapy at the clinic, investigations, or surgery at a hospital.
  • To meet our legal, regulatory and professional obligations, including keeping medical records.

We do not send marketing messages unless you ask us to.

When we share your information

We share personal data only when it is needed:

  • with healthcare professionals and facilities involved in your care, such as the physiotherapist at the clinic, laboratories and imaging centres, and the hospital where surgery is arranged, with your knowledge;
  • with your insurer or third-party administrator, if you ask us to support a claim;
  • when the law, a court or a government authority requires it;
  • with service providers who help us run the clinic and this website, such as our website host, who may use it only on our instructions.

How long we keep it

  • Messages and call details: only as long as we need them to reply to you and arrange your care.
  • Medical records: for the period required by law and by medical regulations and guidelines.
  • Website server logs: for a limited period, by our hosting provider.

How we protect it

Medical information is handled in confidence, in line with medical ethics. Access to patient records is limited to the people at the clinic who need it to care for you, and we take reasonable steps to protect personal data from loss and misuse. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, so please take care with what you send by message.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you and who we have shared it with;
  • correct or update personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • erase personal data we no longer need, except medical records that the law requires us to keep;
  • stop using personal data that we hold on the basis of your consent (this does not affect anything done before you withdrew it);
  • accept a person you nominate to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become unable to.

To make a request, contact the clinic using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on it. If you have a complaint, please raise it with us first so we can try to put it right. If we do not resolve it, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

For patients under 18, we deal with a parent or lawful guardian, who gives consent and exercises these rights on the child’s behalf. This website is not aimed at children.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when the website or our practices change. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
