Dr. Amol Narkhede is a senior orthopaedic surgeon with more than 16 years of experience in the orthopaedic field. He completed his MBBS at Government Medical College, Nagpur, and his MS in Orthopaedics at Sancheti Hospital, Pune, where he worked for more than 10 years and completed fellowship training in trauma, joint replacement and arthroscopy.

In Goa, he has worked at Victor Hospital, Margao, for more than 3 years, and has surgical attachments to several Margao hospitals (listed below). For the past 2.5 years he has been running his own clinic in Margao, Healthy Bones and Joints Clinic, which has orthopaedic, physiotherapy, X-ray and lab facilities under one roof.

His experience includes orthopaedic trauma surgery, knee arthroscopy, and hip, knee and shoulder joint replacement. Physiotherapy in the Same Clinic

At Healthy Bones and Joints Clinic, physiotherapy is available within the same clinic through Dr. Rucha Narkhede (PT), consultant physiotherapist (orthopaedics and sports) with 15 years of experience. Where physiotherapy is recommended, the clinical notes and treatment plan can be carried forward so that rehabilitation is connected to the orthopaedic assessment.

Treatment may include specific exercises, movement training and other physiotherapy modalities depending on the patient’s condition. The physiotherapy setup includes private treatment rooms and equipment for modalities such as electrotherapy when clinically indicated.

Patients can also be shown how to perform their prescribed exercises correctly. Where a patient wants a reminder of the exercises, Dr. Rucha may record the patient performing them correctly on their own phone for reference at home.

The result is a connected care pathway: consultation, examination, imaging where required, treatment planning and physiotherapy can be coordinated within the same clinic environment.
